Thanks for reading and for the kind words, Zack. You're correct--the C8.R had to be changed to compete in IMSA as part of a waiver it has since it does not meet GT3 regs. At least one (air inlet change) affected engine performance, but as far as I know all were made a few years ago, so nothing really new. Pretty sure it's running a muffler too--one big difference between it and the G56 (which I confirmed is not running one of the mufflers NASCAR has recently adopted for some tracks). Maybe someone else with more engineering knowledge than me (a low bar!) will weigh in.
